Self Guru primarily uses local device storage. This means the App is designed to keep your information on your own device rather than routinely sending it to external servers.
- Journal entries are stored locally on your device where applicable.
- Personal settings and preferences (such as reminders, themes, or affirmation choices) are stored locally on your device where applicable.
- Because this data lives on your device, it is generally only accessible to you, and is subject to your device's own security and backup settings.
2. Data We Do Not Sell
We do not sell personal data to third parties. Any information associated with your use of the App is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve Self Guru.
3. Advertising
We do not use sensitive user data — including journal content, prayer content, mood or wellbeing information — for advertising purposes.
4. Future Features
Self Guru may in the future introduce optional features such as user accounts, payment or subscription processing, analytics, or cloud sync/backup. If and when such features are added, this Privacy Policy will be updated to clearly describe what data is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
5. Permissions
Self Guru may request certain device permissions (for example, to play audio, send local notifications, or access text-to-speech voice packs) solely to provide app features such as reminders and guided narration. These permissions are used only for the purpose for which they are requested.
