How to remove your Self Guru data

Self Guru is built around local device storage, which means most of your data — including journal entries and personal settings — is stored directly on your device rather than on our servers. This gives you direct control over deleting it.

Most Self Guru data is stored locally on your device. There is usually no separate account or server-side copy to request deletion of — deleting the data on your device removes it.

Option 1: Delete Individual Journal Entries In-App

Where available, you can delete individual journal entries directly within the App.

  1. Open the Journal section inside Self Guru.
  2. Select the entry you want to remove.
  3. Choose the delete option for that entry and confirm.

Option 2: Clear All App Data From Device Settings

To remove all Self Guru data stored on your device at once, without uninstalling the App:

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. Go to Apps (or Application Manager) and find Self Guru.
  3. Select Storage, then choose Clear Data (this may also be labeled "Clear Storage").
  4. Confirm — this permanently removes locally stored journal entries, settings, and preferences.

Option 3: Uninstall the App

Uninstalling Self Guru removes the App and its locally stored data from your device.

  1. Press and hold the Self Guru app icon, or open Settings > Apps.
  2. Select Uninstall and confirm.
  3. All locally stored app data associated with Self Guru is removed from your device as part of the uninstall.
